Ethiopia has made a progress – period!
So what’s all the fuss about Ethiopia and its advances? I have been noticing websites like www.nazret.com and many others writing about all the negative information they can find on Ethiopia.
That’s fine with me and all, but enough is enough. Honestly, all i hear is complaints after complaints mostly due to the fact that these organizations don’t have that much love for the current government.
It’s easy to degrade and belittle Ethiopia’s achievements in both the social and economical aspects. It’s time that we become part of the solution. It’s easy to sit back and point out the many problems that Ethiopia has, but unless you are also part of the solution – i say you should shut up. Really.
I am a die hard Ethiopian and belittling Ethiopia or Ethiopians doesn’t sit very well with me. Specially, when the hating comes from my own kind.
It’s about time that we do something about it. Certainly, a freedom of speech is a beautiful thing. That’s exactly what i am doing in this very blog. That’s our constitutional right.
All i am trying to get across is – we should point to our problems in order to learn from it and be part of the solution and not to feel some sense of accomplishment by degrading our country due to the hate that initiates from any particular government that might be in power.
That’s certainly not objective thinking. It is complete bias.
I picked a site like www.nazret.com to use as a case history.
I am an avid visitor of their site and i think they have so much good news. However, you have to weed through the news that they provide as they can be very misleading on most of the issues that touch on politics. It is disgraceful for a site like www.nazret.com to manipulate their own people (Ethiopians i.e.).
Time to call things for what they are. I hold no punches when it is for the good of my beloved nation.
I’d love to hear your perspectives on this- leave a comment if you have anything to say…
